Sean D. Casterline CFA, C(k)P
Sean Casterline brings three decades of experience to his role as President of the Delta Companies. He specializes in asset management and alternative investing and has shared his unique insights on investing and finance on the radio, in print, and through his book.
After earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Florida, Sean launched his career in 1992, working as an asset manager for Delta Advisory Group, Inc.. Over his six years with the firm, he rose to a Senior Portfolio Manager position. He then decided to move to Wealth Management Financial Group, where he managed as much as $185 million in assets for his clients.
While focused on his clients and their investments, he managed to work on a financial radio program called Talking About Your Investments. He co-hosted the show’s four-hour episodes. The program was popular nationwide. It was syndicated and broadcast in 85 markets, including large metro areas like Dallas, New York, and San Francisco. Over the years, Sean has also regularly appeared as a finance and investment expert for local news broadcasts in Tampa and Orlando.
Sean continues to offer wisdom on a variety of financial topics. In addition to speaking at industry conferences around the country, he regularly appears in national publications. For instance, he gave an in-depth interview to Authority Magazine. Also, he has provided insights about the economy in the International Business Times, predictions about interest rates in CNET Money, and advice about gold investments on CBS News Moneywatch. And, he offered retirement advice for US News and World Report.
Sean is a published author. His book Investor’s Passport to Hedge Fund Profits was published in 2010. He is currently writing a second book on international investing.
Sean brings his diverse knowledge and experience to his current role with Delta Private Wealth, LLC. He continues to focus on asset management and retirement planning. Meanwhile, he specializes in alternative investments in real estate and other areas. His philosophy is to structure these investments to offer clients flexibility and high yields as they enjoy access to unique investments that would otherwise not be available to them.
In addition to his degrees, Sean is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). In the past, he served as a Director for the CFA-Orlando Society. He also worked as an arbiter for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
Sean is also very active in charities with his wife, Amy. They established the Sean and Amy Casterline Fund at the University of Florida. He also supports local charities in the Orlando area, medical charities, food programs, autism research, and the Sharing Smiles program, which helps disadvantaged children worldwide. He has given his time and expertise to organizations like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Habitat for Humanity.
Sean is heavily involved in education and trade organizations. He has been an active member of the University of Florida Alumni Association throughout his career. He is also involved in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the CFA Institute.
